Bush at the Reichstag | |
| | Sometime tomorrow, President Bush will be making a speech at one of the most important buildings in the world's recent history, the Reichstag in Berlin. This Parliament building was set ablaze one night in 1933, about a month after Adolph Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany. As terror spread throughout the land, Hitler's quick action after this terrorist strike helped him to amass great power. The rest, as they say, is history. |

I've been working on Pages Babies Love. I made an African-American version of Farmer in the Dell, but now I'm having a racial dilemna in that I don't know how to differentiate between the new Farmer in the Dell and the original on the front page. I say African-American because that's currently the politically correct way to describe persons of color, I think. But the thing is, most of the Black people in the world don't live in America, so saying African-American would be exclusionary. Even having a choice between Black and White seems wrong, once I lay it out on the page. Seems like Jim Crow. But if any black kids come to the baby page I don't want them to be stuck seeing the first version, because it seriously "lacks diversity". Speaking of farming, here's a handy website to see who's raking in the Farm Subsidies here in the US. Make sure and check out the top recipients, and get ready for a shocker. Look around your neighborhood, too. There may be some surprises. Permanent link Tell a friend
