| Classic Spritz Cookies |
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg
2-1/2 teaspoons vanilla (or other) extract
2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups flour
Sprinkles for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and lightly grease a foil-covered cookie sheet. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla (or other) extract and stir until well mixed. Combine baking powder and flour in separate bowl with wire whisk. Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture. Make cookies according to cookie press directions. Sprinkles are added before baking. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes. Cookies will still be light in color. |
