| German Chocolate Caramel Bars |
50 caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 large pkg. chocolate chips
1 German Chocolate cake mix
Melt caramels with 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Combine butter, cake mix and 1/3 c. evaporated milk.
Grease 9x15 inch cake pan. In the bottom of the pan spread the cake mixture, reservint 1/3 for the top. Bake 6 minutes, remove from oven and spread caramel mixture on top. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over the top. Crumble remaining cake mixture over this and bake 15 to 18 minutes at 350°.
Remove and chill for 30 minutes. Cut into small squares. Refrigerate until ready to be served. |
